That's a good plan.

"sleep"???

I am interested in this concept of yours. Please, do tell me what that is. The fact that the new one is a girl means I won't be sleeping for the next 25 years, as I lie awake in bed clutching a shotgun, ready at a moment's notice to jump up and make swiss cheese of any gentleman callers at the door.

I was 29 with my first, and have 3 more. At 36 I am just about worn out keeping up with the kids.
I think that had I started now I would have had fewer just because I would not have the energy
to be the kind of dad I want to be.

40 and 43.

And no, it was not my idea.

But I am warming to it ...

24 for me. That was mindbendingly tough. But now so many years down the line kid is full grown and I only remember the happy moments. Certainly at the time I did NOT have my finances together.
Raised the kid as a single father, for the most part.

Fellas who have kids in your later years - you have hopefully had time to put your finances together, but you now lack youth to chase those little rug rats around.

It's not fair either way.

I think it is harder than ever to raise kids in today's world. Costs are out of control and the world is such a (more) dangerous place, now.

37 wife was 40 this was after three miscarriages so decided not worth the risk with downs to try again.

First starting trying in earnest at 33.
