1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    37. Feeling a little creaky , but otherwise this is a pretty good age for a first child. I think 35 would have been better, though.

I was 31 when LowerCaseG arrived last year.

Assuming we have more, I'd like number two to be here before 35. This is both because I don't want them to be too far apart in age and because I'd like to have the option for number three before I'm 40.

Once I tame my clothes budget, and only a marginal proportion of my income goes towards "necessities" (food/mortgage/etc). Maybe 32ish.

33, would have started a bit earlier had I known it was going to be so enjoyable.

    "sleep"???

I am interested in this concept of yours. Please, do tell me what that is. The fact that the new one is a girl means I won't be sleeping for the next 25 years, as I lie awake in bed clutching a shotgun, ready at a moment's notice to jump up and make swiss cheese of any gentleman callers at the door.

I was 29 with my first, and have 3 more. At 36 I am just about worn out keeping up with the kids.
I think that had I started now I would have had fewer just because I would not have the energy
to be the kind of dad I want to be.

And no, it was not my idea.

But I am warming to it ...
