OK, I only wear brown shoes (all shades) with gray pants. The best thing about gray pants is that almost anything will look good with it provided the fit is right.

Grey is a good color to start with, very safe and versatile.

Truth, although I also wear chestnut shoes and find they coordinate well enough.

For visual interest and to get off the beaten path, two options to consider include bold box plaids, and pink solid.

You have picked probably the most versatile color of pants there is. Regardless of the shoes you wear( yes, match the belt to the shoes within reason), you can wear just about any color shirt you want. If you want to spice it up, where a gingham check. You pick the color.
