We're just having a laugh...

Don Carlos is not going to be mobbed by anyone...

I'm too lazy to be a stalker or bear internet grudges...

I'm not analizing ... I'm just celebrating one of the very few people on SF with whom I felt any degree of affinity. With few exceptions, these people are now gone.

Spalla is an interesting character...

A bit of a renaissance man ...

Open minded , tolerant and with very interesting sartorial views.

To reference another now not-so-common-sf'er: I think it is time I weigh in here.

Likewise, SF without Foo would be a much smaller place.

I'm sure you're not alone in that sentiment.

Indeed. Even before that, you had guys like AHarris yachtie, Lucky Strike and the like (although this was during my lurker days -- about 4 years ago).

I miss the more serious discussions and even the pedagogical attitude that was prevalent on the forum.

I was introduced to AAAC & SF by AHarris. He was at my office the day I discovered a unworn pair of Cleverley shoes I'd misplaced a couple of decades prior.

Aportnoy and his red carpet...

There were the good old times ...

It is fun to learn from each others.

People were more libertarian in their sartorial views...

I think a lot of folks on SF/AAAC were introduced to the fora through friends or colleagues. After stumbling on to this site, I discovered several friends and colleagues who post. Well, truth be told, I'm not sure many of them post anymore, either. I remember AHarris from some of his cuff links (particularly one with a Damascene inlay that was quite striking).
