Yeah nothing better to learn colors than go "see, this is aubergine... and this is...well... beige." Primary colors, primary shapes, animals and ABCs for children rooms please. Who wants a sanitized room that looks like a Sheraton room with a Warhol print for his kid? He certainly doesn't.

The wonderful thing about children is that they aren't as cynical as the average SF poster.

But some are more spoiled. If that's possible.

I have a 6 yr old and almost 4 yr old girls who would both think that was the coolest thing ever.

Not that they will ever have it in their own rooms.

GregAZ, that is a great house! My wife and I briefly owned an untouched Blaine Drake in Fountain Hills, great to see Mr. Drake represented on SF.

Lots of beautiful estates in horse country - Somerset County and the surrounding area.

It's a mix, a lot of the newest buildings (I guess from the tech boom forward) are cheesy Mcmansion style homes, however a lot of whats out there in Colts neck is pretty nice.

Princeton is another area in NJ that is pretty well put together, mostly McMansion free (at least in the town). All of the surrounding areas are filled with them however.

Yes, Princeton is very nice. I would live there. Not sure where you would work if you lived there though. It's quite a hike both to Philadelphia and NYC. I would probably only live there if I actually worked in NJ.

Same with most nice places in NJ (like Somerset County).

Northern NJ is close to NYC (plus) but full of McMansions and assholes (minus).

If you don't want McMansions you can check out Rumson. Although, that's a bit more $$ than Colts Neck.
