Here's another batch of ties for everyone's consideration, all by J.Z. Richards. Anything here worth keeping? Anything worth trying to sell, or do they all go to charity?

For clarification, the ties to which I refer above are pictured in post #77.

See for yourself: http://www.samhober.com/grenadine-silk-ties/ Sorry I can't be more help than this. If you contact David Hober, though, he can probably sort it out for you.
Threadbearer, Your knot and dimple are simply perfect. As for colors I don't think that there have been any substantial changes to our grenadine section except that a while ago we improved the photos. "Italian" referred to the origin of the silk not the color which was confusing. So your tie would still be number 11 which is a classic color. Your photo almost looks like a different grenadine "Slate Blue" - colors can be difficult on computer monitors. I have a question for you - does your tie clip damage your greadine at all and does it have a hinge or does it just slip on?

You're a classy guy, NORE. But I'm sure you hear that all the time.

Thank you for clarifying. I LOVE that tie, by the way, and I get lots of compliments on it.

I noticed that, too. The tie's a little darker in real life.

If you're still following this thread, Lightbringer, #11 is the one you want.

Hmmm. I haven't noticed any damage. My clip has a hinge, but the spring isn't so tight that it would be likely to damage any but the flimsiest fabrics. Is it your experience that clips are hard on grenadines?

More fodder for mocking, gentlemen. Anything here worth keeping or worth selling?

Trying to be more helpful here -- upon a second look, #4 by JZ Richards might be doable with some work, but I struggle to imagine an outfit where I'd personally wear the others. The main fact is that the patterns feel messy and haphazard instead of neat and tidy (like many geometric patterns) or have a more abstract and gentle sort of beauty (like some ties with an interesting uneven dye effect can have).
