Assuming that we're talking sub-$200 selvage at retail: naked & famous, 3sixteen, rogue territory, surface 2 air, glory, crate, all saints, left field, uniqlo, unbranded, gap, levi's, club monaco, lee 101, tellason, and gilded age (at least they did for their run for barney's.)

They're not all created equal, either, so it depends on if you're looking for the bargain, a different fabric, or a better fabric.

Denim-wise, though, if someone's tried to sell you on APC for the denim itself then I have a trade for Frank Gore I'd like to talk to you about.

Was gonna pull the trigger on a couple of All Saints items last night. Didn't and now the 25 percent off sale is over. Bummer.

I know it's got a less-than-stellar image around here, but there were a couple of items I was looking at that are a bit of a departure from what I've usually worn. I don't really want to tie up a lot of money in an aesthetic that I decide doesn't work for me and then have to take a big loss later.

understandable. but the upside to dropping on something a little nicer is, if you don't like it, you'll have no problem selling it here/ebay/sufu

It's funny, for exactly this reason I've started buying clothing with resale value in mind. You could theoretically spend less than you pay for an item if you can sell it later and recoup some of the cost. It's a good incentive to dress well and take care of your clothing.

Generally I'd agree, but AS has free shipping both ways, so if I don't like the item, I can just ship it back at no loss.

I have a hard time believing anyone could argue that 3sixteen are not superior in terms of denim and construction to APC.

They were just on sale under a month ago... got a wool blend for $89 shipped.

I think they should still be on sale. There's probably nothing left online but if you go into a Barney's Co-op you can probably find what you're looking for.
