not a style focused article, but he does patronize a few sf favorites

"Wearing a double-breasted custom suit and a purple Charvet tie ("My only vice," Kelly once said about shopping for designer ties on sale)"

"His shirts are custom-made and laundered at Geneva, a shirtmaker. His tailor is Martin Greenfield, a Holocaust survivor who fits many big-name but not-so-big-bank-account pols for Savile Row looking suits at Williamsburg prices."

He definitely puts effort into his clothing and appearance, but does not pull it off impressively.

NYC Police Commissioner average salary is $189,700 plus overtime. That is not exactly small timer. I think he can afford to pay full price for those Martin Greenfield suits.

I think that's just the angle of the photo. Want to know what kind of shoes he wears though, Aldens or AEs.

Funny how this is viewed as a lot of dough. Its not, double especially in NYC. After tax, a few ex-wives, cost of living, bank bailouts, and tipping hobos, you are left with oatmeal for dinner money.

The article indicated he had some very high paying private sector jobs at a point though too.
