Great Barba that´s my style. Is it Sea Island?

I got a quite similar one by Finamore. I never seen a Barba , I´m with mtm Finamore very happy but some italians has told me that Barba is far better than Borrelli and Finamore. Is it?

It's cotton. At first glance it looks to be on par with my Borrelli and Finamores.

Yes but Sea island is already cotton. Has it a soft tissue paper handle? In theory it should be better than those, but I was asking. Post some more!

That's some bullshit that Barba is far better than Borrelli or Finamore. They are pretty much the same. The only advantage of Barba is that is is a little bit cheaper than others.

^ I have the above from Modern Tailor in Small White Herringbone. The problem with that collar spread and height is the edge stitching. The collar stays can't get down to the bottom of the slot and the ends of the collar will bend outward.

Keep in mind that this is not the natural state of the collar with respect to the shirt front. When you wear it, the tips do not bend. And even if they did a little, I usually don't mind that as it gives the collar a certain organic feel to it. I find tips that float in mid-air far less appealing. ETA: If it really bothers you, I think you might be able to instruct them to place the stitching closer to the edge (not sure I like the look, though). And really good collars don't need stays anyway...

Trust me the shirt and collar you have above will bend. I wore mine today and fought it for eight hours.

Request the stiff interlining. Request edge stitching.

Who wants a vulgar cardboard collar? - Isn't a softer collar so much smarter?
