I can't believe some of you guys are considering this. It seems so pointless and it seems like it has nothing a macbook couldn't do better. Plus this thing is an LCD screen with iReader, people would go blind using this thing to read. It looks like the Data Plan is an AT&T exclusive once again.

Unlimited Data for $30/month.

Ok, $500? I am impressed. That is a manageable amount of money for something that does 98% of what most people use their computers for, with lots of flair.

I would disagree with that since it isn't flash compatible, which means plenty of websites won't be viewable with it.

Exactly. That's why I'd get it. This has mainstream consumer written all over it.

It looks like a piece of trash (this coming from an iPhone lover). I guarantee it will be gathering dust/dry fluids at the bottom of your smotherbox within three months of use.

Seriously. Without 3G it's a large iPod Touch. With 3G it costs almost $1k for two years of limited data (and $1500 for unlimited data). I mean, who would pay $1k (or $1500) for this thing + two years wireless when they probably have an iPhone/Android device? Are you really that eager to watch Star Trek on the go with a slightly larger screen? In my eyes "free wireless," like the Kindle, was a requirement. Apple has released the new Macbook Air.
