It's been a while since I visted ralphlauren.com but now I did it. Heck, I love many things they make, but they're up to some really odd stuff with the "Dixon Boot".

Some more thoughts after visiting the website;

Indeed I can understand why people think RLBL is boring. Browsing the RLBL section, I had to look very careful to find something other than black, white and occasionally blue... The RLBL line seems fine for a few basic items, but in general, it's just as dull as Boss. Maybe better tailored than Boss though, I can imagine.

I take it you've never heard of a snow board.

Correct, if I even manage to overcome my hate of snow, I'd be standing on a pair of cross country skis.

Moon Boots were created in the early 70s for the après-ski crowd. They quickly trickled down into streetwear and were quite fashionable as I remember. (Look at them as UGGS.) According to this only Technica is allowed to call them "Moon Boots."

A little surprised to see them at Brooks.

I want the suit that goes with it and a huge helmet with that gold colored lens and then I would try to move in slomo (with a bouncy stride) through my street and into the coffeeshop nearby. (could freak out some potheads)

I have a brooks pair which i love, although they've never wandered farther than the mailbox. For me they are just a big tall slipper for wearing while lounging around the house as an alternative to my AE Banffs when it gets really cold

If you put those things on your feet in public you should have your feet removed, you are too irresponsible to use them safely.

These will soon be seen in the streets of major cities all across America. And that is no joke.
