This is probably exactly what I need to break my string of binge drinking.

The last four months I decided to start reading authors that I share a birthday with. Some people get Richard Scary, I share a birthday with James Joyce and Ayn Rand. Trying to burn through Atlas Shrugged right now and I'm loving it. Perfect for where I am in life right now.

I'm down for this challenge. I usually finish a book after 3 days, reading on and off on the train.

Sounds good. Like DakotaRube, I also have no life and read voraciously. I have probably read 7 books this month already and will likely finish Aurelius' Meditations tonight with a bit of bourbon.

But how will this be different than the dedicated "what are you reading" thread?

Well I mean I wouldn't normally read 50 books in a year so it is partly to be a challenge. Also you have to review the books too. WARRN is often just an image of the cover or a title.

I DID read Phil Jackson's book about how Kobe knifed him in the back.

I already am enlightened.

To accomplish this I would have to virtually give up Style Forum.

I might take a shot. I'm a 2L and have a family so it will be a bit of a stretch. I read so damn much for school it's hard to read in my down time as well.
I say no hard and fast limits, literature is like Appreciation, I know it when I see it.

My first book will be a collection of short stories by Beryl Markham that I started this morning.
