Gimmicky but cool. It's been a really long time since any company has dramatically changed the mouse interface succesfully.

$69 for a mouse.

I think I'll just wait until I can afford the 27" iMac since it's included. The new remote is cool-looking too.

Or $38 for Logitech's version.

The thing that worries me about the Magic Mouse is that regular 4-way scroll mice use the tilt wheel that's situated and locked in the middle of the mouse, which requires minimal finger movement. The Magic Mouse seems to require a larger motion of 1 or 2 fingers to be swiped across or along the mouse. Try to grip your mouse and then move your fingers across the mouse left to right... it doesn't feel very natural because your wrist is locked in position by holding the mouse. This isn't a problem with a track pad where your wrist is free to move if necessary.

The proof is in the pudding. Have to trek over to the snapple store and try it out. If they make it in a combo with the wireless keyboard, I might have to pony up for it.

The mouse that came with my iMac (Fall 07) sucks. I'll be checking this out tonight.

I like innovation when it comes to certain things. I view a keyboard and mouse and very basic functionality as aspects that shouldn't be changed. Call me old fashioned.
