It's challenging to search for fitting for muscular people, the standard fit threads are full of 'Size down 6!!'. It's confusing because the waists, my usual guide to fitting pants, are always freaking loose. Almost have to fit to thighs instead.

If you like a low-rise, small waist, and relaxed leg, this pretty much fits the bill. For example, post-soak, a 36 waist will give you 26 inches of thigh space with an 11" rise and 34 waist. That's a pretty generous jean for a smaller waist with bigger legs.

Unfortunately, they're very expensive and pretty tapered.

I've got decent sized thighs but nothing super muscular.

If you're looking for something slim but not baggy, I can recommend the Rag & Bone RB11, my Somet 005's and also RRL straight legs.

I need to find another pair of jeans that I can wear slightly dressy (these have all become slightly distressed).

Any recommendations around this slim-but-not-tight-but-not-relaxed style?

NDG Classic Fit is pretty solid. Higher rise than the others though.

Awesome post! I always love putting on a pair of jeans and having my thighs and posterior about to burst the seams, but have the waist flapping in the wind.

the thread might be old but im sure the jeans aren't. Fullcount 0105's from BIG are pretty good. I have a pair that I've worn once (contest denim!) -_- if you want to buy it off of me.

I'm honestly not going to even click those threads but the perennial favorites are APC Rescue, RRL Straight Cut, Levi's 501 (pick your year to pick your fit), KMW 1950, Nudie Average Joe (or Baggy Bjorn depending on your choice of cut), and any number of repro jeans offered by Blue in Green excluding PBJ and Somet.

I would like to see the a seperate FAQ forum added where only moderators could add (or promote) a post (such as this one) into the FAQ section. Having too many sticky posts in the SW&D forum for each common question like this would be annoying. Oh, and KMW 1950's are really baggy in the thighs. I got rid of my pair for that very reason.
