I would say it's not how talll you're, but how slim you're, at least porportion wise. If you ask me, DB suit can make you look slimer than SB suit, it has a similar effect as waist coat if you get the right one. DB suit usually follows the body contour better than SB suit in my opinion (down side is you can't unbutton them without looking marsupialed...).

I think ANYONE can look good in a DB suit, as long as it's the proper fit for the person. This message brought to you by common sense.

What is most interesting about this threak is that the Double breasted is accepted as a choice just not for certain, ages, incomes, body-types, functions, endroits etc...

So there seems to be no fault with the suit style itself, rather everyone seems to have their own spin about who it belongs on and why.

One would think the DB would've perished but something keeps it current, and acceptable if rare.

Most interesting. Most interesting indeed, indeed.

Double-breasted can look sublime on certain people...I do remember the pics of the Japanese gentleman in a grey double-breasted, he just looked like a million dollars because the balance was right..
I would like to have the right body shape for them but I have strong legs and a wider than average upper body for a very average size (5'10)..Not the greatest morphology for a great DB..

So a DB with a fair amount of waist suppression won't work? Have you tried RLBL's DB jacket?

More from the same guy linked earlier. As you can see, DB suits can be phenomenal:

And one more random DB photo:

I think the fuss here boils down to just one thing - because some posters here lack (insert whatever) to pull off a DB, they thus think that DBs must look bad. You know, fox and sour grapes and all that...

I think that's because they have a lot more room for error and it will look fine. I like yours a lot but the amount of work that went into getting it right was probably more than the average person can really afford.

Over the last year I've bought one db suit and two db jackets. They're the first ones I've ever owned. I like them a lot and they look great.

If you don't like them then you presumably won't buy them. However they do look fine on many people.

No, not at all fantastic

The coat is pulling at the button and the break of the trousers is wrong. There is more but that will do to put it im its place.
