And what's with all these 'gastro' pubs doing chips the size of potatoes? Okay, so that's an exaggeration, but you know, the massive wedge things? They're normally good but that's because they're not frozen. They'd be better if they were chip shaped

But then I actually think fries are the tastiest breed of chip. Their size and shape improves the potato to fat ratio and thus the tastiness.

BUT THEN I've never tried Heston Blumenthal's hay smoked chips injected with ketchup.

Chips, you open up a can of worms when you mention them.

I've started asking for my chips well done in most places. Even if they end up a bit overdone its better than an underdone chip.
