I've got an afterwork office meal tonight, with no time to get home and change, and meetings with directors in the day.

I decided on a grey herringbone velvet jacket (Brook Taverner), a pink with blue check double cuff semi-fitted shirt (TM lewin), Charcoal wool pants (?), Grey Tie (M&S), Black Kempton Chukkas (Loake). The combination is okay for the working day, but a little dull (I can do dull but okay

).

What I was thinking was popping into town at lunchtime to get a bolder tie for this evening, and maybe braving a pocket square. Any suggestions for colours/patterns that might work with this combination and add a touch more boldness?

I quite like it as it is but a deep blue/navy would be nice as well. It's tried and tested the grey-pink-blue combo, I do it at least once a week.
