Yeah, but still cheaper than London, which, for some reason, everyone is recommending despite OP's intent to be exposed to a new culture/language.

Assuming the OP wants a good education, WHY would he go to Nigeria? Ghana and Accra MAYBE...but NIGERIA?

All education isn't text books. I imagine culturally depending on his background it could be interesting. To be honest though their Uni could be horrible I have no idea.

I like the suggestions, keep them coming. But I would also like to know why you think it's the best place to go. How is the night life? What is there to do and see? Food? Etc.

what are you trying to achieve? if you want to get some type of a base for future career, I'd be looking at eastern (not central) europe, india, china, vietnam, brazil, nigeria, egypt, jordan, Turjey.

if you want to have fun, well, I'd go to europe, but a little bit off the path - brussels, bolonga, sofia, Istanbul

don't do Europe...too Stuff White People Like. Personally, I did my study abroad thing in the US...completely changed my life. Try South America...Brazil maybe since you want to try immersion in a new language. BTW Hong Kong is not expensive in comparison with basically anywhere in Europe.

Hopefully a balance of both. I would like to get somethings to put on the resume while having a good time.

Shanghai, reasons:
- Quite westernized yet you can explore Chinese culture conveniently in nearby cities, like Su Zhou
- Economic opportunities
- Learning Chinese
- Good universities, i.e. Fudan
- Good night life
