As much as some people despise them, I do like the Gap. Mostly just on sale, though. I wouldn't pay full retail for most things there. Luckily for me, things go on sale all the damn time.

I really like my Levi's 501 jeans. That's not TOO cheap, but much less expensive than the high-end denim that gets more airtime around these parts.

PC new standards

can't think of anything else. even for a plain tee after wearing Yohji's i can't really go back to AA (never even wore em in the first place, only things i owned from AA were two hoodies which have gone bust)

If people are in the right area, Muji provides some pretty well-made, inexpensive basics - henleys, plain tees, chinos, linen jackets, socks, etc. And as an added bonus, you can always pick up some cheap silverware and a pillow cover in their housewares section on the way out.

^Agreed. I also love Uniqlo's plain "Premium Cotton" tees... nice cotton, a million colors, slim fit, and only about 1000 yen/ $9 (or cheaper if on sale!)

+1

The Uniqlo Soho store has the V-necks, button plackets, and crew neck at $4.99 and some colors on sale at $2.99. Very well made, durable and the Best fitting t-shirts for me and at any price; a certified bargain.

I've kind of given up on AA myself. There is one cheap brand I rep every day though - Fruit of the Loom. When it comes to undershirts and boxers, I have no need for anything else.

Rustler bootcut jeans, raw. The fit is not great, but how many jeans can be bought for less than 10$ brand new that aren't from a thrift store. They are made by Wrangler and carry a 1 year warranty. If you are into breaking jeans just for ***** and grins these are the ones.

Wal-mart 'keds'- they are great beater shoes if you are working on your car or lounging around. I don't go to enough shows, but when my cashflow increases these would certainly be my go-to show shoes.

wal-mart keds + aluminum spray paint= good.

Hanes 'perfect' tee shirts

Ladies sunglasses from target,wal-mart,walgreens,sears,jc penney, pretty much anywhere with sunglasses for women. Most times they have HUGE glasses for less than 10 bucks.

Puritan BD Oxford in youth sizes. Less than 10$ IIRC
