Is it ok to pair say a blue linensportcoat with tropical weight wool pants, or is linen only to be paired with linen?

Depends on the finish of the wool. I would not wear something with a slick finish or with an open weave. It is not so much about mixing fabric types but textures.Originally Posted by Despos
I agree on the slick finish point, but not the open weave point. I would not wear gabardine or a tight plain weave with linen. But fresco, certainly.
