But in the good episodes, there are sequences that are unlike anything else Ive ever seen on television. It's hard to believe Twin Peaks was a mainstream network hit in the 90s. After The Wire, I think it's the best TV show of all time.

I'd agree...it gets weird in a bad way after the killer is revealed but up until then it is phenomenal (and what can you really expect from a show where the goal is to solve a crime over many episodes and you solve it a third of the way in?)

I dunno that there is anything generational...I am 24 and watched it 3-4 years ago and thought it was great (though I know my parents were into it when it was on TV so it may depend on your personality/upbringing)

I'm on season 4 now. Kind of just watching it to get some closure, not very hooked any more. First season was amazing and second was pretty good. Definitely getting worse. JD McCoy sure is a little ****.

Making me consider watching the rest of FNL. The second season was so incredibly underwhelming that I gave up on it.

If you like Korean movies I recommend I Saw the Devil. It's got the main guys from Old Boy and Bittersweet Life. Dude from Old Boy acted his ass of and could rival Heath Ledgers Joker as best villain ever. Those Koreans sure love their revenge themes.
