It's true, unfortunately. Watch the first dozen episodes, until you find out who the killer is. I have no idea why they revealed the killer so soon, but after that Lynch and Frost basically abandoned the series and it turned to **** until the last 2 or 3 episodes when Lynch came back.
But in the good episodes, there are sequences that are unlike anything else Ive ever seen on television. It's hard to believe Twin Peaks was a mainstream network hit in the 90s. After The Wire, I think it's the best TV show of all time.
I'd agree...it gets weird in a bad way after the killer is revealed but up until then it is phenomenal (and what can you really expect from a show where the goal is to solve a crime over many episodes and you solve it a third of the way in?)
I dunno that there is anything generational...I am 24 and watched it 3-4 years ago and thought it was great (though I know my parents were into it when it was on TV so it may depend on your personality/upbringing)
