Highlights include:

Tons of Drakes ties in raw silk and grendine stripes (a few solids as well) for $69. Also a nice selection of Charvet, Kiton and Borrelli. They also have those Drakes pocket squares that everyone was gaga over for ~$40

Inis Meain sweaters for $200 on the first floor

Seraphin shearlings on the 2nd floor for 60% off

Barbera trousers on the 2nd floor for 60%+ off

Lots of Barbour coats, too

Thank God I don't live in NYC. I'd be flat broke living in a shoe box. But I'd be the best dressed on the block of shoe boxes.

actually i dont think so because the reason why ton of other people live in shoe boxes is because they have the same sort of obsessions as you like watches and clothes and stuff !!

What was the additional markdown on the suits? Since I just bought a new tux I'll throw this out: if the additional markdown was sufficient, someone HAS to buy the RLBL DB tux there, it's awesome! Was still almost $1,500 when I was last there, and for my first good tux I preferred SB, but sub-$1,000 I'd have snatched it up in a second.

I don't want to hear his list of bounty. It will just make me sigh. But feel free to post pics!

Perversely, this makes me feel better (not that you couldn't score but that my size wasn't available anyway).

I think today was the first day of the final markdowns. The place was hopping when I was there at noon.

There was an insane reversible Loro Piana jacket that was dark brown elk skin that reversed to a plaid cashmere. LP was only 50% off and it was still north of $2k.

Pound for pound (and other than shoes), BG is still the best store/selection in NYC.
