In my defense, I have a lot of ties. Some are bound to be paisleys. The only novelty is that mine are nice.

The odds of you or me being influential, and thus actually launching groupthink, is a small number that only the ancient Mayans could compute. And they're dead.

Matty Matt, though...that's a different story.

Not sure what this group think but I bought a paisley tie a month ago from burberry. I thought it was a waste of money since it was to wild. Turns out it looks pretty good with alot of things and everyone keeps saying how much they like it as well.

Still only got the one and don't plan on anymore right now.

But I probably need a bit more group think. Sometimes I cannot dress myself for ****. At least I admit it, its a start!

Back the the original topic. I have looked at the six fold ties before. I just really don't like them. I don't like cheap ties that feel paper thin but these ties are huge and they don't sit that well.

All of mine knot handsomely and also drape with suppleness.

Any tie, from a basic three-fold to ones made more elaborately, can suffer from being overlined or folded too many times from thick silk. I agree with you...some approach rubber hose territory.

The Hobers and Marinellas that I posted earlier in this thread, and even the Attolini, do not suffer that sin.

Brown ties are nice. As are brown an orange.

Vox & Matt, I applaud two paisleys that did not make me seize up.

I love brown ties. Another nice one, though probably not for RJMBP or FNBPB.

I suppose this is not the brown and orange you prefer:

Not as nice as Matt's or mine (what is?), but here's an Altea micro-paisley from STP:
