♪ Conjuntion junction... ♪

A friend of mine bought that Rolf Benz sofa as the centerpiece for his San Francisco pied-Ã -terre about 2 years ago. He really enjoyed it, saying that he more-or-less "lived in it" since it not only was very comfortable for lounging about, but the little shelves made it easy to eat and drink there, as well as do work on the laptop.

He only had two complaints: "living" it it required a lot of upkeep, especially with the cream-colored leather, for which he has no one to blame but himself; when we moved to a new apartment, the disassembly damaged the wood shelving pieces such that they had to be replaced completely. I don't know if this was the fault of the install/disassembly team, or a defect inherent in the design.

Yeah, but what businessman could take him seriously with those folds under his shoulders? What would people say? (If he wore it outside, instead of posing in it at home like a proper iGent)

Personally, I like the idea of that couch in a corner. But I'm--well, you know.

The red circles do throw people off, from time to time.
