My head cleared up by the time I went to Dior, and boy did I hit it big there.

Man, you guys got a dior outlet? I didnt even think there was such a thing. My outlet mall (Clinton, CT) must be the bain(sp) of the company.

Yeah, there are three in the country. Of course, about 98% of the time they don't have any mens wear (seriously, there are maybe 7 days in the year that they have something from Dior Homme), and I got very, very lucky that day.

Truth. This navy 3inch woven was in a bin full of crazy blue label argyle ties. I paid $14.99.

So are you offering it for what you paid, or are you trying to make me green with envy?

Alas, the green with envy one. I'm just bragging. I get more wear out of this tie than any other tie I own. As my workplace is too casual for silk patterned ties, I find this one, with its solid navy-ness, woven-ness and narrow-ness, is ideal with a caridgan or rolled-up sleeves, buttondown collar. The perfect "badass librarian" tie.

That is a damn nice tie. Grenadine? I just bought one from P.Stuart in the same color for $80.00 and have 3 others from various makers. Nothing like a navy woven.
