Would this Gieves & Hawkes Blazer be fused, 1/2 or fully canvassed?

I like the look of this Gieves & Hawkes navy DB blazer, from the pic on their site, (not seen it in the flesh) costing £395 GBP and wondered if it would be fused, half or fully canvassed or would I have to get a Turnbull & Asser at £650 for the full canvas? Anyone know how well made this blazer is or if the T & A is signicantly better? Thanks in advance.

I guess you could save us all some trouble by actually calling or visiting either shop and asking them directly.

Will call them tomorrow. Anyone have one of these blazers?

I called one of the Gieves and Hawkes shops and was told that the DB Blue Blazer's are half canvassed. Turnbull & Asser's DB Blue Blazers are fully canvassed according to a member of their staff I spoke to today so this goes some way to justifying why the T & A one is £650 and the G & H version is £395.

I've a single breasted G&H blazer and it's definitely half-canvased. Pretty decent quality IMO though I'm probably less fussy about construction than many members

The T&A is remarkably better. However, it would appear that the majority of these threads that you start would be best suited to the 'ask a question, receive a quick answer' thread.

I answered my own question here. Not noticed the 'ask a question, receive a quick answer' thread before but will check it out. In which way is the T & A better? I'd appreciate your reply.

Do you like DBs with only one lapel buttonhole?

Sorry to be vulgar but how much is a bit more money and who did you have in mind to make it?

The T&A is a better cloth, has an overall nicer feel in the body, and better cut.

For approx. £150 more than the T&A you could go to Sims & MacDonald of Lamb's Conduit St.

It doesn't really matter if you are referring to the hole where a flower would be placed.

Oh but it does, it does.

Purely stylistic, of course, but I wouldn't be caught dead in a DB with only one lapel buttonhole.
