Love to get some opinions please.

I am seeking a navy wool jacket/coat that looks equally good with a pair of jeans as with a pair of slacks. Looking for something contemporary but timeless. Not interested in skinny fitting or trendy options, but it should have a somewhat tailored appearance. It should be suited for California mild weather, say 40-68 degrees F. Standard sportcoat length, perhaps as long as a car coat...not interested in trench or overcoat length.

Loro Piana has a dozen perfect options, but with a $3,500 - $40,000 price tag they are WAAAY more money than I want to spend. Another thing - I really prefer items not made in China, though other high quality imports are OK. Please don't get into an argument with me about China...it's just a personal preference so please respect it. Like to spend under $1000.

Below I've posted 4 options I am considering, but the point of this thread is to have other people suggest new ideas I didn't already consider.

TIA

This seems to be the best value option and has the most tailored fit - Kroon "Ritchie" with zip-out bib, Quite frankly, the only thing holding me back is that it's made in Indonesia and it's $450 with no discounts, sales, or coupons available. That seems pricey for Indonesia construction - and I hate to pay full price!

Not sure I like the quilting, but otherwise it's just about perfect. Similar to the Kroon Ritchie above but quilted and made in Italy. Movimento brand. $550

One of my favorites - Loro Piana Kingston - but $12,000!!!!

Movimento Arno - Seems to be discontinued - $550 on clearance, none left in stock - made in Italy
