Still looking forward to Shore's Skookum varsity, but that one there looks pretty badass. Wonder what retail will be, if it'll be in line with previous outerwear in the 500 range or higher owing to leather details.

My favorites are the gray MK-2 jacket and all of the flannels. I wonder if the MK-2 jacket will use virgin wool or not?

I still don't quite understand the appeal of the varsity jacket though. It reminds me too much of an old high school jacket. Not sure I'm into that look.

Everything looks good overall, but I feel a little let down. We've been hearing all this hype about how amazing W+H FW09 is going to be and this looks like a rehash of past pieces in a slightly different form-- no different than what any other label would do. Either someone was exaggerating, or there's some really cool stuff they're holding back from us still!

The black and gray flannel looks similar to the one last year; one I was upset to miss out on. If I crack and drop the dough on one of those flannels, it'll be that one. Heavily considering the blue Flathead flannel and I don't like red, so those are two don't do much for me.

I am pretty burnt out on all the epaulets, though. Too many brands going with that look now is making for some deja vu when I first glance at these collections.

Yeah, but what's the percentage of virgin wool? I've seen melton wool that claims it's only 50% virgin and other that say 100% virgin wool. I have a wool jacket that says 100% virgin and the damn thin doesn't pill, crease, or loose its shape at all even when abused. That made a believer out of me. If the MK-2 is 100% virgin, then a $500 (or even higher) price would be worth it.

+1 about epaulets.

I realize the simple, timeless design that's not overdone is part of the brand's appeal. However, if you take away too many of these little details (e.g. epaulets, slanted pockets, etc) then W+H would be verging on having the generic feel of bands such as Theory, Helmet Lang, etc.
