Why does it seem so many members have style blogs?

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, but I just can't imagine individual blogs are warranted for ~95% of members.

I did, at one point. Well, sort of. It was just a blog of my externship in California so that my family and friends could keep up with me when I was too busy to talk. But I did talk about stuff other than work.
