Such a thing exists? Or are you talking vintage?

Both are true, though you (or your next of kin) will still get a bill from the government even if you don't sign an agreement.

Actually, "perpetual" is incorrect. There are vintage Moonphases to be had, however, if one is willing to spend the cost of a house.

+1 it is on the one complication I do use.

The watch I have on now has month, date, day (yeah I know it's Friday - thank god for this watch) and phases of the moon.

I have had this watch for 8 or 9 years and bought the face cause - it "looked cool". Actually use the functions - no way.

Every other watch I have bought has just told the time and date and may have a diving bezel

Personally, I've always thought the simple Vacheron minute repeater wristwatch to be achingly beautiful in its simple elegance:

However, I think a lot of those useless complications look a whole lot better on the larger-sized pocket-watches.

Clarify this for me, LabelKing: Does a minute repeater chime every minute? Lord, I'd find that distracting.

I have a IWC UTC. I travel a lot for work, and am in frequent phone contact with colleagues in Europe. I use the coordinated universal time function of it at least two or three times a day. Before this job, I was a professional rally co-driver. I used the chrono function on my (digital) watch about 16 times per day during an event. That's one of the few jobs that really requires a complication, though.

No, only when you manually activate the mechanism.

A standard minute repeater chimes the hours, then the quarters, then the minutes. If it is 3:20, it will chime three times for the 3 o'clock, then once for the first quarter, then five times for the extra five minutes.

Indeed, it does.

I have a minute repeater. Unfortunately, it doesn't work anymore.
