1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

^^ Green would be too Xmas. Diaz, I think, had a similar jacket and wore a tie with a red/maroon ground with a blue neat pattern that seemed to work.

On another note- Manton / Victor is this detente now?

Victor looks great. He has his own style and he does it extremely well.

Might it make you happy to see him dressed the same as everyone here?? How boring would that be.

    Victors cool....

^^^^the point being you don't think Victor is dressing in good taste? Victor has more 'taste' than 80% of the posters here.

    You are blind.

You may want to consider why this isn't the WAYW thread.

Stanley Van Buren's outfit above, which I commended over at the WAYWT thread, I think is an example of a great outfit that nevertheless isn't "in good taste," as the originators of this thread conceive of the concept. I'll leave the word to Manton:

Cuff links with semi-precious stones are in bad taste yet nobody commented when Foo wore a pair in one of his photos.

Just because you don't adhere to the strict rules of good taste doesn't mean when you break the rules it's bad taste.

Further more an ill fitting jacket is in bad taste and yet it not discussed nor commented on.

Who are these 12 gents you mentioned?

Viktor's clothes are fun and imaginative but, like the CBD thread, this is a thread dedicated to a certain aesthetic. Viktor's clothes don't match to that aesthetic. No idea why this gets people animated/argumentative.

I promised myself not to post on here anymore but I think the reason this issue pops up every other 5 pages is because the title in itself is a little misleading.

Victor, I think you missed Ed's subtle sales pitch. Let me help him out: http://www.pantaclothing.com/SearchResults.asp?Cat=93[/quote

I am not sure it is good advice to order from a website that hardly functions.
This online business has been "coming' for several years, if I recall correctly.
Even now the categories , Bowties, shirts, sportcoats, accessories do not
work. I am interested in the trousers but no measurements are provided.
I like a certain rise measurement. Howard Yount and Shop the finest
offer these details, not panta. A website with more dead links than live
does not inspire me to order anytime soon, let alone from Moscow.

Seriously, those dogmatic people need to stop being extreme. And there is no point to argue about clothes, just wear it and feel good in it.

Ed might not know websites, but Panta ties are sweet silken sex.

Cheers for taking the time to comment, I think you're way off though. Green or navy would suck in this context. The jacket is green enough without adding a green tie to it, and it's a combination of earthy f/w colours why navy isn't something I would go for. The jacket and tie are not really close in colour, as tie is dark brown and jacket is moss green. I can aknowledge the opinions about the squre, although it's a matter of personal taste, not good taste per se.

I always welcome critique, harsh or not, but I want it to be accurate.

afaik, the links are not dead. they only work when there is available clothing to purchase. he does limited RTW quantity and is focusing a lot on custom pieces if i am not mistaken.
