Which Orion belt with Allen Edmonds Walnut shoes?

I recently ordered Lake Bluff loafers from Allen Edmonds in Walnut:

Which Orion belt color would most closely match? I'm looking at tan, london tan, and medium brown.

This is impossible to answer without seeing the items next to one another. Photographs can often distort the color of things, as you well know. You could wear your new shoes to a store and look for a belt that closely matches. Alternatively, Allen Edmonds makes belts in the same colors as their shoes so you could just go with them.

I agree with @Caustic Man that it is REALLY hard to tell just based on the picture, because you never know if that is what it is going to look like when you actually get it (could be a little darker or lighter, or be too shiny).

However, I have the simliar Lake Forest loafers, and I would think the medium brown would be closest, if you had to make a choice between those 3. Though, at that price, I also agree with @Caustic Man that you could just get a Walnut colored belt from Allen Edmonds and it should surely match very closely. You can also search for belts on clearance at Allen Edmonds in Walnut that are in your size and possibly even save some money.

All that said, I've seen advice many many times that says the belt is 3 feet from your shoes, so as long as you're close most people won't tell a difference.

And since you asked for pictures, here are my Walnut Lake Forests with three belts I've worn with them: The top is AE bourbon, the middle is "Natural" colored, and the third is just called "brown".

I have the "Poplar" belt in merlot. It is the softest leather belt I have ever owned. I do love the Manistee as well. Actually, all of my AE belts are really great.
