I was absent-mindedly watching some Gentleman's Gazette over breakfast, when something caught my eye:

It's like a cropped dressing gown, or a really thin smoking jacket. I really like the silhouette of it (if not so much the colour). In the video, Sven calls it a "TV Jacket" but googling that yields nothing. Does this have a more common name? Where can I get one?

I guess I thought the name only applied to the thick, quilted ones with frogging (that would actually protect from smoke), which I've only seen at black tie events.
Anyways, I found this buried in the text of a GG article:

While originally a different type of jacket from the smoking jacket, as it was employed for occasions other than smoking, today, the TV jacket is often grouped with smoking jackets, or at least considered a smoking jacket variation.

Which explains the "TV Jacket" thing. Thanks for the info.
