What's the most comfortable sheets, pillows, comforters, etc?

Ok I finally got a Scandia Down Comforter, not the Contessa but the \tVersailles Ultra. Will any duvet do for this or are there ones that are preferred for such a nice comforter?

I would use a duvet that has a high thread count, no point in using a duvet cover that is coarser than your comforter, otherwise you might as well not use one and just dry clean your comforter every once in awhile.

I'm thinking of getting a Signoria. There Italian-made of Egyptian cotton. The Duvet cover reverses from a "550-thread-count jacquard-woven abstract design to 450-thread-count taupe sateen." I really like how velour feels and found one place in Canada that actually makes Velour Duvets but I'm sure the Signoria would be much better quality.

Is it really that big different off a sheet for 200 dollars and 15 dollars?

I think it is worth getting whatever makes you feel very comfortable. The bed is one area you don't want to skimp, IMO. That said, it's not hard to find comfort for a hell of a lot less than $200 a sheet.

I know this is late for this thread, but if you check Overstock on the web for 1200 thread count cotton king sheet sets you will find a great deal. I ordered a set when I got my TempurPedic Celebrity Bed. The set was cheap. Like $80 or $100. So, I figured I didn't have much to lose.

They were very stiff until washed and dried several times. Now, though, they are fantastic. I can't recommend them enough--easily the best deal going in bedding. I told a couple of friends about them. They agree.

The fitted sheet has deep enough pockets to accomodate the Celebrity mattress (which is pretty tall). The downside is the color choices are pretty limited.

Depends what your preference is. I have a set of Sferra Hotel collection sheets, a set of Paradigm 464 from Restoration Hardware, and a $50 set from Overstock. I prefer the set from Overstock. They are percale, with a decent weight, come of the dryer crisp and without a million wrinkles, and don't bunch up like the Paradigms.
