Are we talking about caribiners? I know a lot of hipsters and non-hipsters wearing them when i was in college because they didn't like the feeling of keys floating around in their pockets. Can't blame them, i hate having keys in my pants pocket as well. When going places i usually just take the one key i need (house or car key) and leave the rest at home/car

I do this as well. My house has a keypad door lock so I can get away with only taking my car key.
