Finished an entire bottle of Nob Creek in 2 hours. Don't remember New Years.

Came home from dinner early enough to whip up a Grand Marnier souffle (for two ... well, three) at midnight. Topped it off with a very nice Crème Anglaise!

Went to dinner with friends. We had a 8:30 seating. Made it through the five course meal and at 11:45 we headed home to ring in the New Year at our place.

Don't remember much after 11PM but I had a very nice date and good friends around so it was a surprisingly happy time.

I'm still hearing stories and occassionally seeing pictures of myself. Not a lot of it that I can actually recall though.

Well mostly stuck to plan.

1. Started with drinks in my building. A few friends came to my apartment, then we checked out a few other apartments hosting parties.

2. About 11pm head to the destination for the night - this hotel a few blocks from my place. Typically it was jampacked and it was taking 30mins to get a drink (so we heard), so we ditched the drink lines about 15 mins in and started working off my friends flask. Wandered around for a little bit then rushed back to my apartment for the countdown.

3. Miss the countdown by 3 minutes and hangout in my buildings lounge with champagne and strangers. This is where things get hazy.

4. Apparently we call a cab and head to the suburbs (Bethesda, MD) for a house party. I don't remember much here.

5. Wake up on Friday at roughly 6pm and still thought it was 6am - wondered where the sun was and why Seinfeld was on. Also wandered where my winter jacket and cell phone were. I was also worried that I had gotten obliterated the night before and only gotten an hour of sleep. About 7pm I realized it was PM. **** I slept for 12 hours?

6. Aftermath: FOund the receipt for the cab home ($45 yay!), so will call and hopefully they have my stuff.
