I bought an Ike Behar shirt with a bib that looks (to me) like the pattern woven into the "nicer" shirt you recommended. I ordered a Carrot & Gibbs satin butterfly tie to go with it. Once reminded that my bride was the one everyone would be looking at, I knew that (like so many things in life) all I needed to do was avoid catastrophic failure; I think with this outfit I will be fine. The SA tried to sell me on a vest, but I gave him the Heisman. Thanks a lot for your help, I was spinning my wheels there for a bit. When I get all the pieces, I will try to post a photo.

dress vest or black dinner jacket vest really only looks good with a dress shirt with detachable wing collar.

You could do a fancy lounge vest with an SB jacket and turn down collar shirt, but this goes wrong far more often than it goes right.

Keep it simple and classic for a wedding. Your bride is the main accessory.

Does it matter if I wear mother of pearl or onyx studs? I have all the other elements listed below. BTW, that is an excellent summary and should be in a formal wear FAQ somewhere!

White wing tips with studs (onyx, gold, or silver depending on tie or bowtie)

Prefer a gray or silver/white striped tie
