Aristophanes is pretty funny, with all the farting and stuff.

I need help in knowing how to apply this. Perhaps if I had given my farts a literary connention, such as a ancient Greek playwright, those silent but deadly deliveries would have earned the sophistication they deserved, but my saying they were a direct quote from Chausser never yielded even a smile.

I can't say for sure.

Aeschylus wrote Seven against Thebes as a comedy, but the whole whole mom-marrying, self-blinding jokes went right over the heads of the audience. So, the opposite of Andy Kaufman.

Ironic, right?

By the the time Sophocles revisited the story, much of the comedic value had been lost and the resulting work was kinda cranky.

I would definitely go for the ascot, no sarcasm intended. (I also own a few) The problem is to pull it off, nowadays...

I could start a thread "What does men prevent of buying and wearing ascots today ? But I think the cape one drained everyone. I do like ascots, I suspect few people have actually seen them in the wild.

With regard to capes, I think they went out of style because it made people look huge, it was like wearing a tent. I would have posted that opinion, but I didn't want to give that thread any more life, even though there were some good points made.

Yes, the cape debate drove the general attention from the real ****: the ascot debate.
However i think it's a losing battle.
Returning to the main topic, i endorse the hermes boxers look. "Styleforum big shot" attitude for the win.

This may do, since branding is so important in current fashion.

I own three or four ascots and I've never worn them. My wife has enough to deal with and me wearing an ascot doesn't really help. Do you own any ascots with a loop at one end? I need a bit of help tying a couple of mine and the only instructions I've found are for the real ascot.

I don't know if they're beginner ascots or what, but I bought the ones that you are supposed (I think) to thread through the other end, if that makes any sense.
