What to wear for a medical school interview (UK)

Hello,

I'm new to the styleforum and so I imagine this may already have been asked before.

I have several medical school interviews in the coming months all of which have stated that I should dress smart-casual. However, I was wondering what the general consensus is on what to wear to interview for undergraduate study (specifically medicine); if you could offer a bit of friendly advice it would be much appreciated!

For goodness sake, I would worry about your skills as a doctor if you need to ask about dress. Try a suit or, if you don't have one, a decent pair of trousers and a blazer.

For reference it has been asked many times - probably three times every week in fact - you would finding 'search' or Style Forum 101 illuminating.

But I'd suggest that you take a look at @Holdfast. In his signature line, he has a link for advice on entering medical school. He's a medical doctor and has written a book on the matter, in fact.

Perhaps I didn't make it clear; I was looking for specific examples on dress code e.g. Oxford style shoes rather than whether or not you feel I'd make a competent doctor. I think I'd leave that to someone more suitably qualified.

u should wear those ridiculous looking specialized medical shoes made for doctors who are on their feet all day

No - if this is for med school or residency interviews just kidding. I'm no doctor (business professional) but for any interview I would use a normal staple. Navy or charcoal suit white or blue solid shirt, oxford dress shoes, etc
