What particular "staple" items do you refuse/tend not to wear?

As far as I know split toe shoes are not much of a staple here - but perhaps I'm wrong.

I also have trouble with black shoes unless it's with a suit. Own a couple pairs, but low, low mileage.

If I'm to be frank, I also have a hard time with Oxfords. Never found them comfortable, I generally much prefer "dressy" boots and will only wear Oxfords when absolutely necessary.
