    Murica!?!?!?!

As far as I know split toe shoes are not much of a staple here - but perhaps I'm wrong.

I also have trouble with black shoes unless it's with a suit. Own a couple pairs, but low, low mileage.

I don't wear any black shoes, loafers, derbies, or chinos.

This is starting to resemble the 'SF items you just can't get behind' thread from last year, innit?

Split toes, oxfords, loafers (unless they are driving mocs)
    Monkstraps
    Trousers with turn ups
    Waistcoats
    Vests/undershirts
Bow ties (unless with a DJ)
    OCBDs

I don't wear sandals - even in warm weather - and they are popular here - I never found them comfortable.. not like I have fungus on my feet, either

This, this, one thousand times this!

If I'm to be frank, I also have a hard time with Oxfords. Never found them comfortable, I generally much prefer "dressy" boots and will only wear Oxfords when absolutely necessary.

Crew neck sweaters just remind me of a sweatshirt.
