I'm not familiar with this brand: "The Old Angler", Stated that they are made in Italy with full grain leather.

what do you think? Worth the $169.99 BIN or should I make a counter offer?

I have seen that bag or something very similar in a brown leather at Marshalls for much less than $169.99. I don't remember the exact price but it was definitely less than $100. If you have a Marshall's or TJ Maxx in your area it might be worth checking out.

It is impossible to tell the quality of the leather from the pics. That means everything to me. I wouldn't buy a leather bag on-line unless I knew for sure.

I like its color but not quite the finishing too much stuff going on. By the way, check the seller on ebay and see what's his feedback and if he's selling other bags like that one
