What color Chalk Stripe is JFK wearing in this photo?

My Tailor says that its most likely a Gray Flannel with Brown Chalk stripes.

Do you guys agree? I want to hear your thoughts before I commission him to make the suit.

Also, what color do you think his tie is? Probably matches the stripes right?

Unless there is a color version of this photo, the color of JFK's suit (and his tie) is anyone's guess. But does it really matter? Has your tailor shown you a swatch of the fabric that he has in mind and if so, do you like it?

Yea, he has some beautiful VBC flannels but grey with a brown stripe is really something I want if I can find it somehow.

Not sure where you are located however, I had one made at Brooks Brothers 2yrs ago. The fabric was from the loro piana mill and was 10 ounces

I believe that have quite a bit BB stores in NY. Just stop in one and see what they have to offer. If you have a suit that was made by your own tailor that you like the fit of then, take it to the store and ask them to make the suit in the same fit as the one you have.
