In think the ascot can look alright if it's more Mick Jagger and less Thurston Howell. I've seen a photo of Christopher Bailey, the designer for Burberry, wearing one. It was kinda loose with a white shirt, sportcoat and jeans. They 'devil may care' attitudes helps a lot. Still a pocket square or scarf is enough for me.

Well, I did answer "all the time," which is not true. I'm going to wear a necktie today. But if one interprets, "all the time" as meaning "very frequently"--as in "I go to that bar all the time," then I think it is the best answer. I have returned to wearing ascots frequently in the past couple of years.

I must be in a different geographic or time plane. I don't think I've ever seen a guy wearing an ascot in real life

If you are, I'm right there with you. I've only ever seen one cat wear an ascot and he was a haberdasher given to occasional flights of fancy. I doubt I would ever wear one myself...it just seems like a parachronism today.

I love the idea of them, but my wife has warned me that she will hit me upside the head if I start wearing one before the age of 50 or so and have some gray in my hair. I've got a few years to go. I think it's a good look, just not one I can pull off right now.

If I recall, the Iammatt has worn them.

I have a distinguished uncle who's stylishly rocked them for as long as I can remember (back to when he was in his mid-30s), but I never have and couldn't ever see myself doing so.
