It's not in your poll but I think dirnelli's thrift find of 30 bespoke Camps de Luca suits/sport coats is one of the best ever told on SF.

But was the story ever told?

No, the full story was not revealed, nor will it ever be, but I wasn't aware that's a requirement for featuring in this poll?

Camps de Luca runs a discrete operation for discrete clients. If ever you come to Paris, please give me a ring if you want to know more about them.

As you've certainly noticed, they never crop up on eBay. And they've informed me that my grailfind haul of 30 suits is a one-off that will never occur again, I feel quite priviledged to have been in the right place at the right time when the opportunity surfaced.

Pics of parts of my haul are available here (about 10 out of the 30, the remaining 2 thirds haven't even been worn yet):

Dirnelli's haul was the finest in 2014 if the clothes are right enough for his build and taste. I was surprised by several of the finds in the poll list as some folks just seem to throw too much money into clothes that they end up throwing out, but some 30 CdL commissions is hard to beat as a one-off pull. They are exceedingly rare items in any auction, and rarity must be the main variable in all lucky thrift games.
