They look great with a double stacked welt, and what is nice is a regular cobbler can replace the sole.

It's a single piece vibram Christy sole whereas the og are a 3+ piece foam and rubber + toe stitching to prevent delamination

In laymen term Christy soles are off the shelf and not custom order and are easily replaced

Ah that's what I figured. FWIW I haven't had any delamination on any of my Vis boots (lots going back to 2011-2012) except for the Commando Sole ones (Okie Folk Cap, 7hole). I guess the stitch is more for that thin piece on the bottom.

Either way I think the single piece christy is whack and really yucks up the silhouette of the Virgil.

I have brought these to cobblers to replace on Virgils in the past and I have been happy. Imo it's mostly about the heel that gives the Virgil a nice shape. https://www.drsole2011.com/product-page/3060-cushion-sportstman

I used to litterally hate the previous version of Virgil with Christy soles, but these ones have to be my favourite Virgil of all times. Pics don`t do them justice, they weight a ton (i.e. Viberg like) and the balance of the sole with the rest of the shoe is actually perfectly done, way better than previous iterations. And the suede is heaven too, sand has to be my fave.

Got a sneak peak and its definitely worth checking out. They have exactly what they have on the website release list, plus coffee for $70/bag........

I got a pair of the mud dye Brigadiers in a size 11 but they were going quick. They have quite the selection of Virgils. I imagine they're going to open up the inventory to the web store like they did with Santa Fe.

I appreciate the mud dye brigs but having owned the first iteration which came in kangaroo smooth leather brigs are 1000x better in suede, almost no comparison.

Can anyone advise on sizing for the Sanjuro Bomber and Kerchief Down Jackets and Vests?

I generally wear a 1 in items like the 101, SS shirt, and Totem but have had to go up to a 2 for Lugli and Caravan jackets.
