very nice. I bought a pair in my 2030 size, but I ended up cancelling as the salesman warned me that these would be too large for me and they didn't receive the next size down.

Yeah, they tried pretty hard to talk me into taking .5 down but I stood firm. I think I would have been in for a pretty painful break-in at the instep if I went down--as is these have just the right amount of snugness for me in that area. With that being said my feet certainly aren't standard by any means so I hesitate to suggest that someone else follows the approach I took but I know a number of others take the same size as 2030 and 2040 for 2045/2055 and Viberg and other retailers like Standard and Strange both recommend staying the same.

any other time, I would have chanced it.

Stay strong, don't size down (hope it works out!).
