I received my mahogany shell service boots. They fit a little more snug than the stitch down but I can still wear them with medium weight socks.

WE DEMAND VESTIGIAL STITCHING GDAMMIT.
Hahaha

I have no doubt they are well made and up to the level of quality of anything that Viberg puts together but for me it just doesnt look like a Viberg without the stitchdown. But they do look nice, on their own aesthetic.

Kahuna what size are those Mahogany?
Do you have other Viberg shells in the same size to do a side by side pic with?
I'm probably just being nitpicky, but something still looks a little off. Maybe the side by side pic will prove me wrong.

They are size 12 and two things are probably leading them to look off - One is I have the boots laid out opposite of how you would wear them and two is they are completely unlaced and I had opened them up to inspect the insides and stitching so they are sort of out of shape...Sorry no other Viberg shell to compare them too. Will try them on a little later to see how they fit and take a pic of them on foot.

Put them on and right behind the toe cap it seems to be more volume especially towards the inner big toe side eyelets.overall I would say not as sleek as my 2030 cxl service boots.

EDIT: Went out for a nice half mile stroll with them and while initial fit was probably the least comfortable of my Bergs...they already have really become very comfortable..guess the shell needed to get a little heat in them.

Those look really nice and I'm a pretty ardent stitch-down preferrer.... I think what may be catching me off in some shots is the size of the welt + the contrast of the welt against the leather. If the welt were only trimmed and/or darkened a bit... that said, it should darken up over time and in normal interior shots they look fantastic. I'm also happy to see that these have pretty sizable toe caps. The Brandy shell and last Leffot #8 run tended to have smaller toe caps relative to the vamp.

Just for ***** and giggles, here are my Fat Waxed after one day of horseshoes and kicking stuff and another day of walking around. I so love these.

I like the 110 a lot but I need to wear the thickest socks I can so my feet are their snuggest. But with the half Japanese I need to wear my thin socks. Weird huh?...I think the 1035 fits me better than the 110....

I may be selling my 10.5 Garage Boots. I'm not 100% sure yet. Gotta give them another good look. They are slightly redundant with the half Japanese methinks, with jeans on and from the top and side views anyhow.

First time, long time lurker here. Received my mahogany shell this morning and I agree with Diabolical's assessment in that they feel a bit tighter vs my 2030 stitch down natty CXLs. My natty CXLs are a perfect fit for my feet, no creasing whatsoever. I can already tell that the mahogany will take a bit longer to get as comfortable. I'm sure that once the heel counter breaks in and the foot-bed conforms to my feet, the snugness will disappear. I'm extremely happy with these!

If they're too voluminous, I have some 11.5s that are probably not going to fit after hearing about the increased snugness compared to stitchdown. I'll know for sure later today.

I think you will be fine - alot of that initial volume thing seems to have gone away as it is breaking in and forming to the foot- probably should have kept my mouth shut really...sorry for any angst. I would not change the size at all on this compared to my other bergs. Did you order the same size as other 2030?
