Such a great color! Thanks for posting. I saw another post over the weekend on IG comparing them to the Brandy Vibergs.

Does anybody have much experience with Viberg's kudu? Is it reasonably tough? Are its irregularities irregular in an appealing way? Overall, is it satisfying compared to the other options? I'm thinking of DR's kudu vs. tobacco Chromepak, but I realize they're pretty different.

I have both unlined and lined Vibergs, but on different lasts. Is there a consensus about whether one fits snugger than the other?

I have the Division Road snuff kudu boot and it's one of my favorite pairs. I'm not sure how much toughness you'll need in your situation, but I've worn mine many times in casual situations and various weather with no concerns. The irregularities aren't too irregular but give the leather a good bit of character. If you need a boot for jobsite or workshop use, I think the Chromepak would be more durable, but for casual settings, kudu all the way in my book.

(For some reason this one is also a magnet for complements from random non-shoe-obsessed people, which may or may not be a plus for you.)

That is certainly a beautiful photo of them. I am very tempted...

Have you hit those with anything? VSC? I've got the same and they seem to be a pretty hardy leather. I've not done too much with them but the random kneeling I've had to do haven't left marks and they don't seem to be scuffing off of my chair like others do. Chrompak may still take the edge in my book as well but I'm not convinced the snuff kudu is a bad choice.

On mention of the lined boots I do find that the lined boots are just a touch more snug. Not enough to change size but enough to maybe need a shoe horn or not.

One light coat of neutral wax someplace along the way, wipe and brush only after that. Definitely a low maintenance leather.

ordered the sage slippers from Miloh in an 11. I have a bit of room in the front, but they fit snug at the ankle. think I may keep them. I could have probably sized .5 down in length, but not width

Well, I ordered myself a pair of the DR Kudus...now I just need to wait for them to arrive. It does kind of blow that DR offers non-free, non-fast shipping on all orders.
