These are from the sample sale.. the scar is probably the reason they were included in the sale.. doesn't bother me as it is just that, a scarring and it is on the inside.. should even out with wear once the leather darkens...

If you grabbed em at the sample sale, then you got to choose.
My bad for assuming this was something you received from a pre-order.
Still looks like it hurt the horse. There I go assuming again. I doubt Horween sent s hide to Viberg this way.
Could the scar have happened in boot construction?

Wearing the kangaroo zip up service boots from Haven. Man that dye transfers all over your hands. Leather is really soft and a bit stretchy. In fact my big toe pushes up a bit & you can see it. It's not uncomfortable, and that may bother some, but I don't mind. Even with the zipper though, they are a little difficult to put on without a pull tab. Still, I like the clean lines and murdered out colorway. Pant hems fall cleanly.

I saw a sample of the zippered boots at the sample sale. Wonder if Viberg will continue with that design. I thought the zipper was really awkward.

Yeah, it's unlike any I've seen. I see what they were trying to do, and it's nice that it follows the lines of the tongue, but it takes some getting used to.

I had quit the Viberg addiction for 3+ years but those Crust Horsehide boots just wouldn't let me rest. The leather looked too unique to pass up. Looking forward to seeing these in person !

Crikey man! Thanks for the heads up. I bought em. I'm so happy to see these. I felt like I'd seen an Ivory Billed Woodpecker (not quite that cool - but close). I thought the 145/110 was gone for good.

For the size 2030, I sized down 1 from my normal shoe sizes and they were really hard to put on and tight on my left toe. Too small? Or will they take some breaking in. Any advice?

No they don't. These are the first stitchdown 145 Oxfords on the 110 that I've seen on a stocklist outside of Japan in a couple of years, and I look for them. Uwe Van Afferden has some on ripple soles, but that has been it. The white soles have to go, but the style and color is what I like. I'll get them replaced with black 2021s. I'm happy to get them. I hope they do well and they continue to stock them. One for the clunky lovers.

I have a service boot 2030 in size 8.

What size would you recommend for the slippers?
