I still dont get why they switched. I just ordered a pair of mocha vintage of their site. In my opinion it was the only option that didnt suffer by not having the double stitching around the toe. Seeing as it had an antique midsole. This will be my first pair as well.

I've been wearing my Nick's daily. Is it because of two rows of stitching? I doubt it, but my eyes are definitely drawn to it. Not only on my boots, but also when somebody else's boots catch my eye.

Does anyone own both 1035 derbies and boots? Do they size differently? Remember seeing some posts about sizing down half on Derbies
I do. I have reverse kudu boots and horsehide derbies.

Just tried them both on with boot socks.

I would not size down with the derbies. If anything, at least in my case, I might wear thinner socks than boot socks with the derbies.

Hope that helps.

out of my 3 pairs of 'bergs, the HJs are my fave.

I LOVE the **.

And 110 last.

I don't understand why it's in sort of disfavor.

I think it's the most balanced, casual last for jeans and chinos I've seen; with Alden's Trubalance second.

But yeah, the ** is awesome. Did you get in on my(well, design of) Sinister Oxford's in this past GMTO?

It's the same as the ** just Black Oil tan.

From my understanding the 110 was en earlier development before the 2030, 1035, 2050, etc. Guy has stated the 110 doesn't have much arch support, which I've also noticed. Strangely enough, even though I have high arches, I find the 110 extremely comfortable.

You know what? I noticed that too. There is no arch support. It's pretty much flat.

At least on the **.

I'll have to see on the 3 other 110's I have. My arch heights are average. But all 110's are comfy.
